Brian Hickey specializes in the design and execution of integrated, brand-enhancing communications across the paid, owned and earned spectrum, spanning financial and professional services and financial technology. A former journalist, he combines a strategic, big-picture methodology with a thoughtful approach to competitive positioning and story-telling to produce content marketing that is relevant, compelling and platform-specific.

His expertise extends across the full marketing mix, including digital communications, social media, advertising, public relations, collateral, direct and email marketing. His client work has included working with leading hedge funds, institutional and retail asset managers, strategic advisers, and law firms, drawing on extensive domain and content expertise.

Previously, Brian held senior positions at Peppercomm LLC, Prosek Partners and Walek & Associates, where he developed and implemented integrated PR and corporate communications programs to raise share of voice, support new product launches, design internal communications and drive brand engagement for clients in asset management, wealth management, professional services and technology (financial, enterprise, security). Prior to that he was global Director of Communications and Media Relations for the international law firm Orrick, Director of Communications for technology investment bank Broadview International (acquired by Jefferies in 2003) and Marketing Communications Manager at Information Builders, a global enterprise software and services company. 

Brian began his career as a journalist covering travel, business, and general feature writing for national publications. Brian received his BS from New York University, with a concentration in journalism. He is an investor in several privately held technology companies in the US and Europe.
